Don Pablo's 2LB Swiss Water Process Colombian Decaf coffee is a mild, sweet, rich, and smooth blend with very low acidity, allowing the drinker to enjoy the real taste of coffee without the caffeine. This medium-dark roast features a medium body, pleasant acidity, citrus notes, and a lasting chocolate and walnut finish, with a smooth and low-acidity profile.
The slight caramelization of the natural sugars in the beans gives this coffee a touch of roastiness, while it still retains its natural flavor character, providing a sweet and pleasant aftertaste. This 100% Arabica whole bean coffee is GMO-free.
Don Pablo Coffee offers a range of decaf options, including a 2LB light roast, a 5LB medium-dark roast, and a 2LB and 5LB organic water process decaf. They also offer 84 count single-serve cups of their Colombian Water Process Decaf.
The key to making the perfect cup of Don Pablo coffee lies in the brewing method. For a traditional drip machine, use one level to slightly rounded measuring tablespoon (10g) of finely ground coffee per six-ounce cup of water. For a hand drip method, use 8-10 grams of medium-fine ground coffee per cup, heating the water to 190-195 degrees Fahrenheit (88-90.5 Celsius) and adding it slowly in a clockwise motion. For a French press, use 1-2 measuring tablespoons (10-20g) of coarse ground coffee per cup (177ml) of water, adjusting to taste and never using boiling water. For cold brew, steep equal amounts of coarse ground coffee and filtered water in a covered container for 12-24 hours, straining the coffee and adding water to taste.
